The Cottage - Woodgate Hall * NEW FOR 2009 (Sleeps 4) - Check Availabilty

The cottage was originally converted in 1832 from part of Woodgate Hall and a barn. As you can see it has lots of character with a original cast iron range, slate floors, wide staircase, and sash windows.

During 2008 the cottage has undergone extensive restoration to include a new kitchen with all modern conviences, a new bathroom with cast iron bath, walk in power shower and new oil fired central heating.

 

The cottage sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with memory foam matress and anti allergy duvet and pilliows.

Bedroom 2 has a zip link bed that provides 2 single beds when apart, or when zipped together becomes a super king sized bed (please state when booking whether twin or super king sized is required)

Both bedrooms have magnificent views towards Coniston Old Man.
Coming downstairs to the half landing is a newly equipped bathroom with a cast iron bath and a walk in power shower

 

Downstairs there is a seperate dining room with original slate floor and cast iron range cooker. The oak dining table seats 4 people

 
 
 
 

From the downstairs hallway is a tradional kitchen with cream cupboards and beech block worktop equipped with all the conviences of home.

 

At the other end of the hallway is the large lounge with georgian doors looking out towards the Coniston Range. The lounge has an open fire with logs provided, there is also a flat screen tv with freesat and DVD player

 

To the rear of the cottage is a patio area with garden furniture and barbeque leading to an orchard. The front garden is to the right of the front door and has the same splendid views towards Conistion Old Man

There is private parking available for 2 cars on the drive and plenty of storage for canoes and bikes in the garage
